What is Independent Living Services (ILS)
Beta-Care Support Solutions’ Independent Living Services (ILS) are designed to empower individuals with Intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve greater self-sufficiency and confidence in their daily lives. Our team provides direct, personalized support tailored to each individual’s goals, helping them develop essential skills for living safely and independently at home and in the community provide direct training to adults so that they learn new and healthy independent living skills. Our primary goal is to deliver meaningful, beneficial support to both our individuals and their families.
ILS Services and Support
Independent Living Services (ILS) provide a broad range of supports tailored to each individual’s needs, including but not limited to:

✔ Support with household management
✔ Cooking, meal preparation, and menu planning guidance
✔ Ensuring safety at home and in the community
✔ Increasing awareness of available community resources
✔ Promoting self-advocacy skills
✔ Coordination with health care providers
✔ Facilitating social integration
✔ Skill development and behavioral support
✔ Functional reading skill enhancement
✔ Help with money management, budgeting, and banking
✔ Training in the use of public transportation
✔ Assistance with identifying, securing, and acquiring furnishings and household essentials
✔ Identifying and arranging additional supports needed for successful independent living in the home
Independent Living Services Assessment
This evaluation tool is comprehensive and begins with a discovery phase designed to identify the individual’s strengths, abilities, and needs. After the assessment is completed, a detailed summary with tailored recommendations is provided. The results serve as a guideline and can be adjusted to accommodate the unique evolving needs of each individual.
